Pictured here after finalising and unveiling details of new Leadership & Management programmes, key members of the PSM Training team came together at the Craft Fine Dining restaurant in Birmingham to toast the new courses which will see PSM Training providing new learners with sporting and military sector expertise along with experienced training providers who will deliver the courses.
The L3 and L5 Leadership and Management programmes will focus on helping learners to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours to manage, organise and motivate their teams and will, following successful completion, lead to an accredited Leadership & Management Qualification.
PSM Training Ambassadors together with former premier league footballer Brian Deane and the Sunday Times bestselling
author and inspirational speaker Brian Wood MC, are fully behind the new courses and have given it their seal of approval.
Brian Deane, who, at the height of his success scored the first ever premier league goal, is both the Chairman of PSM Sport & Media Group and a key Ambassador for the project. He will be presenting the opportunity to football clubs throughout the UK and commented:
“I learned during my football career how important leadership and management skills are. A good manager can make or break a team. I am incredibly proud to be part of this initiative which will help make a positive difference to staff, businesses and sports clubs throughout the country.”
Brian Wood MC was awarded the military cross for gallantry during combat. He is acutely aware of the necessity for good leadership skills. He added;
“One of the things the military does very well is teaching people about leadership and working in a team. It’s the difference between life and death for our armed forces. This is a subject I’m absolutely passionate about and I look forward to working with the PSM Training teams to help inspire a new generation of leaders”
PSM Training combines sports, business and military sector expertise with training sector experience and knowledge. PSM Training will be meeting with sports clubs and businesses throughout the UK to discuss and deliver leadership and management apprenticeships - which in many cases will be eligible for funding through their existing apprenticeship levy.
