PHOENIX RECEIVES A BRONZE AWARD FROM THE ARMED FORCES!

Phoenix Sport & Media Group awarded the Bronze award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).

Further to being awarded the Armed Forces Covenant earlier this month, Phoenix Sport & Media Group Ltd (PSMG) are both delighted and proud to announce that we have been awarded the Bronze award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). The ERS recognises commitment and support from UK employers to defence personnel.


Brian Deane, Chairman of Phoenix Sport & Media Group commented:


‘This award means a lot to us at Phoenix Sport & Media Group. We have a proud military history amongst our team members. My colleagues and I will continue to shape how Phoenix Sport & Media Group supports the Armed Forces. To be awarded the Bronze Award demonstrates Phoenix Sport & Media Group’s pledge to support the Armed Forces. I was extremely proud to sign the Armed Forces Covenant upon behalf of our company reinforcing Phoenix Sport & Media Group’s dedication to promoting being armed forces-friendly. We are dedicated to helping both military leavers and sports professionals transition successfully into second careers both within our company itself and in areas such as cyber security, business and management. On a personal level I am very much looking forward to sharing my experiences of transitioning from sport to business to help members of the Armed Forces and their families thrive in their second careers “


Here are some of the ways we are delivering on our commitments:

 

  • We have a number of decorated military veterans within our team and recognise their military skills and qualifications
  • Our partners POC Management power our security services and are both former military and police operatives and have achieved the silver ERS award. 
  • We support the employment of both military leavers and their spouses and partners
  • We are creating training courses specifically for those that leave the Armed Forces; creating opportunities for employment and actively helping military leavers transition into successful second careers
